I saw a patient of mine today, one week after her breast reduction.  I removed over one pound of tissue from each breast.  She told me today that she "loves" her new breasts, and she also commented that the associated back and neck pain she had before her operation is already better!  Her pain is minimal, and she is going back to work later this week.  

Breast reductions improve a lot of women's quality of life.  Large breasts can cause neck, back, and shoulder pain, and can also be embarrassing to women.  Additionally, large breasts can make exercising difficult and uncomfortable as well.  Most of my breast reduction patients tell me they wish they wouldn't have waited as long as they did before having the operation!
