Dr. Cooper, at Sound Plastic Surgery in Seattle, performed a "mini tummy tuck" for this patient. She was bothered by a small amount of excess skin that she had developed after having children. Additionally, she desired a flatter abdomen below the belly button. The mini tummy tuck involved a low abdominal incision, and the belly button (umbilicus) was left in place, and no incision was made around it. Also, in addition to removing excess skin, the muscles below the belly button were tightened up during the operation.
